Is it true that breastfeeding could prevent pregnancy? Let's find out whether it is a myth or a fact. Breastfeeding is the best nourishment a newborn baby could have. Breast milk provides a lot of vitamins and minerals that help with the baby's immune system to fight off diseases.

Here are some myths related to breastfeeding:

· Myth: If newborns feed often, they are not getting enough milk.
Fact: Wrong. Breast milk is easier to digest than baby formula. So babies get hungry faster.

In fact, breastfeeding does not prevent pregnancy but it merely delays it. If you want to delay your pregnancy, you must be committed to breastfeeding your child for at least six months and some tips below:

· You must begin breastfeeding as soon as possible after delivery.

· You must breastfeed exclusively or almost exclusively (85% of feeds).

· You must breastfeed between six and ten times a day, upon request.

· You must avoid long intervals between feeds.

· You must avoid the use of bottles and pacifiers.

· You are not allowed to give any supplemental food or liquids to your baby (such as juice or water).

Unfortunately, the length of time between giving birth and resumption of menstruation is different for every woman. The fact that ovulation comes before menstruation.
